...is the kid who....

WELCOME TO "THE KID WHO"

OR

ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RELIGION, I LEARNED IN AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM

The Zoroastrian is that student that seems "older than her age." She seems to have a wisdom in her ideas that is more mature than the others around her. Everyone else in class steals her ideas.

The Jew is that student that gets tossed around to every classroom. She is easy to discipline because she knows her parents will punish her if she does anything wrong.

The Christian is that student that runs in the hall even though she knows better. When you ask her about it, she apologizes and asks for your forgiveness. Her mom is PTA president.

The Muslim is the "new kid". She did everything your students did, plus a bunch of new stuff. Her mom is running for PTA president.

The Hindu is the ADHD student. Everything is interesting to her, and she would just as soon stare at her pencil as play on the computer. She also loves to build towers out of blocks for the sole purpose of knocking them down.

The Buddhist is that student that begs for you to capture and release the bee that's terrorizing your classroom rather than kill it.

The Bahá'í is that student who just wants everyone to get along. She is the student that always cracks the joke to relieve the tension that is created by all of the other students.

The Taoist is that student that always answers your questions with more questions.

The Sikhs and Jains are the middle-achieving students that too often get ignored by the teacher.

Match the symbols below to the religious groups to learn more about them.
